  He is a Post-graduate in Commerce.  He joined the IA&AD in 1982 as Section Officer on Probation in the Office of the Member Audit Board, Bangalore.
Since entry into service, he served in MAB, Hyderabad, MAB-I, New Delhi, AG (Commercial), Karnataka, Bangalore, AG (G&SSA), Hyderabad.  He was on deputation in Enforcement Directorate, Bangalore
He was inducted into I.A.&.A.S. in December 2010.
