III.       Certification and Audit of the accounts of 29 Autonomous bodies and Public Sector Undertakings of the above departments under Section 19 of CAG’s DPC Act.

  • CENTRAL AUDIT (CASS)

(i)         Central Audit of Monthly Accounts and Vouchers rendered by
32 Treasuries in respect of about 80 Major Heads of Accounts

(ii)        Sanction Audit of Government Orders

(iii)       Audit of Provident Fund/Pension, GE Vouchers  in addition to
audit of Records, Loans and Deposit Section of AG (A&E)

(iv)       Certification of Externally Aided Projects, Centrally Sponsored
Schemes, Central Sector Schemes and State Plan Schemes.

(v)        Certification of Accounts of Service providing departments for
reimbursement of cost, on request by the departments
